Visited some local villages - Barr and Oberai
Our rooms were on the third floor up a winding staircase and the ceilings sloped and if was difficult not to keep banging your head!

Good location: you need a car to reach it, but the village and the countryside are beautiful. The breakfast was very good and the room was large.
There is no elevator. One of the staff was not friendly at all, he did not even replied to my good evening. The room was large, but the decoration was nothing special, quite anonymous. The shower inside the bathroom was very uncomfortable and there was no safety devise.

Nice hotel isolated but cute.
The room was a bit small.

The staff was very nice to us. Breakfast was on premises and parking was available which was important. Town was small but with plenty of good restaurants. Many outside areas for reading or relaxing. Not far from major towns but with a small town feel

Our room and ensuite were very comfortable and spacious. The hotel manager was friendly and extremely helpful. His sight-seeing tips were great and helped us maximise the time we spent in this area. The hotel is a converted mill house which gives it lots of character. The breakfast provided consisted of local, good quality produce. The location was quiet and peaceful.

Very nice location and a special place to stay. The hotel is an old textile factory from the beginning of the 1900'S. Renovated with care. Owner is very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is very tasty. Delicous different homebaked kinds of bread, croissants and breakfast rolls. We will certainly come back.
We were disappointed that our room TexMex was nor up to standards of a boutique hotel. Bathroom was kind of shabby. Our bed had a blanket which I find not very hygienic, notwithstanding being washed regularly. The rooms of our friends had downcovers and their bedrooms were very nice.

Room especially large, clean and modern without losing its historic ambience.

Friendly staff, nice location, quiet area.
Not a boutique hotel. Value for money does not reflect a boutique hotel. Room decoration was simple.

Interesting building
The bedspread was taken away after the first night and the blankets were mealy. Lack of attention to detail Not a lot of information on things to do in the area The breakfast was 'tight' with no decaf coffee and we had to ask for more milk for example. Wouldn't go back

We really enjoyed our stay at the Zinck Hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They spoke at least three languages (English, French, German) so it was easy to communicate. The rooms each have a different theme but all have great views of the Alsace vineyards and countryside. The room we stayed in was clean and fairly large for a European hotel. Breakfast was good and well presented. The hotel is in a city that is in the middle of the Alsace wine region so it was easy to get to several other towns and vineyards by car.
The hair dryer could have been better.
